CCLK Drama
When we visited Cristo Centro LaLima we enjoyed watching their older children do a drama about their hope & belief in Jesus Christ.
CCLK Welcome Song
These women from Cristo Centro LaLima Church sang their welcome song to us. It was so touching and they sang beautifully.
CCLK Welcome Group
A big group of people came to say hi and bye to our team this year. Later they went with us when we visited the village.
CCPK Grade 1
Cristo Centro Penasquitos Church has nine children who are in 1st grade this year. School starts in February and ends in November.
CCPK Grade 9
Cristo Centro Penasquitos Church has three ninth graders this year. After 6th grade there are usually fewer students who continue studying, so we are all proud of these three.
CCPK Interview
Each year students and seniors in the His Hands for Honduras Program are interviewed, so sponsors can be updated.
CCPK Virtual School
Since the pandemic started March 2020, children have not been able to go to school. They use a cell phone to receive and send back their lessons to their teachers.
CCPK Visit
During our trips to Honduras, we like to visit some families at their homes. We usually have a large group from the church who like to go with us.
CCRA Balloons
When we go to Cristo Centro Rio Blanco Church, the seniors like to do an activity. They have decorated Bible verses and played the pinata game. This time they played with balloons.
CCRA Interview
While other seniors were playing with the balloons and talking with each other, we are able to interview seniors to update their sponsors on how they are doing.
CCRA Reunion
Sometimes seniors do not have many visitors, so the time that they meet together and go to church is very important for them. During the pandemic, they have not been able to meet as often as they usually do.
CCRA Visit
After we do the interviews, we like to go visit new seniors' homes to understand their needs a little better. We also visit seniors' homes who are not able to come to church to get interviewed.
CCZA Visit
We have a lot of fun visiting the homes. In this photo Trina and Luz are sharing a chair, which we did not have very many of at that visit.
CCZK Adios
At the Cristo Centro Zolano Church, as we did at each of the other three churches, my husband and I sadly said "hasta pronto" because we didn't want to say goodbye.
CCZK Food to Deliver
When we were at Pastor Gregorio's house, we saw the food that had been bought in order to sort, bag and deliver to the families in the sponsorship program.
CCZK Spiritual
The children in Honduras are not able to attend Bible school because of the pandemic, so Pastor Gregorio and his tutors assign spiritual homework to be worked on through the month and then turned in.
HHHo Bridge Damaged
As were driving to Pulhapanzak with Pastor Mario, we had to go around this bridge that collapsed during one or both of the hurricanes that came through Honduras in November 2020.
HHHo Souvenirs
During our Honduras trips, we try to visit Guamilito market, so that souvenirs can be bought. It is a huge market that sells so many beautiful things.
HHHo Team
This year our team consisted of (l to r) my husband Don, Trina (4th trip), Cherry and me (Lori). Don took photos, Trina did the measurements & Cherry did interviews and translated.
HHHo Transition
I am turning over the travel backpack to Cherry, who has volunteered to take over the Honduras coordinator position. We will share the duties until Cherry feels comfortable doing it on her own.
