Trou du Nord is a sizable community near the Northeast coast of Haiti with a population of approximately 50,000 people. Most of the people in the community make their living through commerce or agriculture.

The school of L'eglise Baptiste de Trou du Nord has an enrollment of approximately 300 students in grades 1 through 6. They do not receive food from the World Food Program so they are unable to feed the children in the school at this time.
